• What is Gender Inequality?

Gender Inequality is the unequal treatment, opportunities, and perception that individuals experience based on their gender. It manifests in various forms affecting economic opportunities, educational access, political participation, healthcare, and personal safety. It remains a critical issue worldwide, impacting nearly every aspect of life.

The perception of men as the dominant gender in work and life is rooted in deep-seated societal norms and biases. Historically, men have held primary roles as providers and decision-makers, while women were expected to take on caregiving roles. This has led to men being favored in leadership.

• What can ICT do?
  

ICT can offer significant solutions to gender inequality by improving access to education, economic opportunities, health resources, and advocacy platforms. The use of ICT can raise awareness about gender inequality and the contributions of women and LGBTQIA+. 

Using social media platforms and dedicated apps, ICT can raise awareness about gender inequality and the contributions of women and LGBTQIA+. These platforms can share success stories, showcase role models, and promote gender equality initiatives.

Addressing gender inequality has a significant impact on society. By promoting equal opportunities in education, employment, and leadership, this project helps create a fairer, more inclusive society.

With this, we must see and know that everyone is different. But we must not discriminate or judge without knowing who they are or their story.
